Ounce is 28 Grams, Right now they what around ,416 per Ounce or .50 per Gram.
So how heavy and big the Gold Bar is and what the Total Price? same to Sliver and Bronze.

the owner of bullion has to pay for the assay required when it is sold.
Further, 1570/troy ounce is well above the world price of gold [1380 or so Friday].

you'll make just as much money with lower costs and easier selling out by buying the "GLD" exchange traded fund at your stockbroker. Free SIPC protection, too.

Apparently they're ridiculously rare. I can't find one online anywhere, not even ebay. The closest things to them I could find were a few 5 and 10 gram Engelhard bars.

The price of gold fluctuates daily: 1 oz of gold is worth about 0. The present financial crisis is good for gold, so I would stick to it, for a while (especially as I don't see how either Obama's or McCain's election would change something).

The bar has a volume of 7.5 cm^3, so it will have a mass of 144.9 g.

That would correspond to 0.31944 avoirdupois pounds (note: the conversion factor is 453.6, not 435.6) or 5.111197 avoirdupois ounces, and at 0 an ounce, the value would be 44.48

That said, note that gold is sold and assessed in Troy ounces and Troy pounds, which are not the same as the avoirdupois pounds and ounces.
There are 16 avoirdupois ounces in an avoirdupois pound, which equals 453.6 g as stated before; but 12 Troy ounces in one Troy pound, which is equivalent to only 373.2417 g

With the currency declaration requirements in effect, 1 bar is probably all you can bring in without declaring them. As long as you fill out the proper declaration forms showing how and where you obtained them and what you are going to do with them, you could probably bring in the 3 you have.
